என்.சண்முகதாசன் – கட்சியின் குழந்தை – ஒர் அனுபவம்!

கனடாவில் ரொரொன்டோ நகரில் தேடகம் அமைப்பினால் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்ட “(சமரசம் செய்யாத) ஒரு கம்யூனிசப் போராளியின் அரசியல் நினைவுகள்” என்ற என்.சண்முகதாசன் அவர்களால் எழுதப்பட்ட நூல் அறிமுக விமர்சனக் கூட்டத்தில் கருத்துக்கூற என்னையும் அழைத்தமைக்கு தேடகத்திற்கும் சேனாவிற்கும் கோணேசுக்கும் நன்றிகள்.. இப் பதிவை மூன்று பிரிவுகளில் முன்வைக்கின்றேன்… முதலாவது இக் கட்சியினுடனான எனது உறவும் அனுபவமும் இரண்டாவது தத்துவமும் கோட்பாடும் மூன்றாவது நடைமுறை வேலைத்திட்டம்.
சண்முகதாசன் அவர்களின் கூட்டம் ஒன்று இலங்கையில் நடைபெறுமானால் இப்படி நடைபெறாது. எல்லாம் சிகப்பு மயமாக இருந்திருக்கும். 25 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு எனின் இன்றைய கூட்டத்திற்கு வருவதற்காக நானும் சிகப்பு உடை ஒன்றைத் தேடிப் போட்டிருப்பேன். பச்சை நீல நிற ஆடைகளை தவிர்த்திருப்பேன். ஏனெனில் அன்று இந்த நிறங்களுக்கெல்லாம் ஒரு கட்சி அடையாளம் நம் மனதில் ஆழமாகப் பதிந்திருந்தன. ஐ.தே.க என்றால் பச்சை. சுத்திரக்கட்சி என்றால் நீலம். இக் கட்சிகளை சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே விரும்பவில்லை. வளர்ந்தபின் இக் கட்சிகள் எனக்கு உடன்பாடில்லாதவையாகவும் இருந்தன. இதனால் பாடசாலையில் சிகப்பு நிற விளையாட்டுக் குழுவிலையே என்னை இனைத்துக் கொண்டேன். ஆனால் நிறங்கள் தொடர்பான நமது மனப் பதிவுகளை காலம் மாற்றிச் செல்கின்றது. இன்று இந்த நிறங்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட கட்சி அடையாளங்களையும் கடந்து வேறு, உதாரணமாக சூழல் தொடர்பான, விடயங்களைக் குறிக்கின்றன. அந்தடிப்படையில்தான் இன்று நான் தேர்தெடுத்து உடுத்திருக்கும் இந்த உடையும் பல நிறங்களில் இருக்கின்றது. இப்படித்தான் நமது நம்பிக்கைகளுக்கும் கருத்துக்களுக்கும் காலத்திற்கு காலம் புதிய விளக்கங்கள் கிடைக்கின்றன என நினைக்கின்றேன்.
April 03, 2013- Uthayan Tamil newspaper and TNA leaders are under attack by Government Goons in the North. We unreservedly and unequivocally condemn the attack on the Uthayan Tamil newspaper office at Kilinochchi on April 03, 2013. This attack comes on the heels of another attack on TNA MPs and party activists holding a meeting at Sritharan MP's Office at Kilinochchi on March 31, 2013 to discuss forthcoming Northern Provincial Council election. This by no means is the first time such brazen attacks have taken place openly and during day light. Although the four MPs escaped unhurt, the attackers inflicted injuries to at least 13 persons and 2 personnel from the Ministerial Security Division (MSD) before walking away from the scene. Among the attackers were army intelligence operatives and CIDs from the Police! Three were caught red-handed, but the Police let them go. These planned attacks could be the beginning of a new wave of violent government campaign to intimidate and disrupt TNA and its supporters. The latest attack on Uthayan Tamil newspaper office at Kilinochchi causing widespread damage to property is one of several earlier attacks on Uthayan editorial staff, reporters and employees. They have faced deaths, threats and intimidation before and continued to do so now.

After Prime Minister Manmohan Singh rebuffed Yashwant Sinha’s demand for his appearance before JPC on 2G, the BJP leader on Wednesday said failure to do so would send a “loud and clear” signal that he has something to hide. “If the PM says his conscience is clear, he should offer to appear before JPC,” Sinha said. . Sinha asserted that JPC is the only committee before which a minister or the PM can appear. He accused JPC Chairman P.C. Chako of behaving in a “partisan manner”. and trying to “scuttle” former telecom minister A Raja’s appearance before it. “No truth will come out if the Prime Minister and Finance Minister do not appear before the JPC,” insisted Sinha, himself a JPC member.

20 Mar, 2013 - WASHINGTON: The US-sponsored draft resolution before the ongoing session of the UN Human Rights Commission in (UNHRC) "calls" the Sri Lankan government to conduct an "independent and credible" investigation into allegations of human rights violations. The draft resolution - a copy of which has been obtained by PTI - has not ceded to demands of human rights bodies for an independent international investigation, as being called by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in its report. Welcoming the announcement by the Lankan government to hold elections to the Provincial Council in the Northern Province in September 2013, the draft resolution now calls upon Colombo to fulfill its public commitments, including on the devolution of political authority. A previous version of the draft resolution had expressed concern over the "failure" of the Sri Lanka to fulfill its commitment on devolution of power. The draft resolution, currently under circulation, also welcomes and acknowledge the progress made by the Lankan government in rebuilding infrastructure, demining, resettling the majority of internally displaced persons. At the same time it takes note of the considerable work that lie ahead in the areas of justice, reconciliation and resumption of livelihoods, and stresses the importance of the full participation of local populations, including representatives of civil society and minorities, in these efforts.
