Dear Friends and colleagues, brothers and sisters in the Ethnic Press and Media, On Sunday, September the 24, is taking place in Toronto the annual “Word on the Street” festival. The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada is a partner and participant in great exhibition for almost every year since its conception. This year also we are participating as NEPMCC and we share a pavilion along with the Canadian Journalists for free expression and Journalists in Exile.
For the exact location of our pavilion please get more information from the Saturday Star of Toronto. The festival is organized at Queen’s Park Cress between Wellesley and Bloor Streets, exactly behind the Main Legislative Building of Ontario, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday September the 24th, 2006.
I am expecting our tent to be located at the St. Michael’s College of the U. of Toronto. Bro. Hasan Yilmaz, the editor of “CanadaTurk” is responsible for this event.
I am taking this opportunity to ask you all to participate in this event by bringing to our pavilion at least 25 copies of your last editions. We are expecting a number of 400.000 visitors to come through our pavilion and we want to make sure that all our member publications are there.
For more information please call Hasan Yilmaz at 416- 462 1244 or email referans@canadaturk.ca
Thank you and I am looking forward to see you on Sunday.
Also I need one volunteer to help me deliver the plaques and certificates at the L. Governor’s Suite, on Friday noon around 1:00 pm.
I am expecting Neil Nanda to be there but we need one more person, as you know unfortunately I am permitted to make any lifting due to my last week’s operation.
Thank you all for your help and cooperation,
Thomas S. Saras...enter
